Faisal Ismail of ar-Raudhah Equine Centre beat 10 other riders to finish first in the CEI 3 Star 160KM Ride of the Edaran Endurance Classic 2007 at Terengganu International Endurance Park in Setiu, Terengganu, the venue of the forthcoming World Endurance Championship 2008. Faizal completed the ride with a total time of 11 hrs 10 min and 45 sec at an average speed of 14.31km/hr. He won a cash prize of RM10,000 and the Champion trophy. Faizal rode gelding Bubble who bagged the Best Condition Horse trophy and cash prize of RM3,000.

At second place was Wadhiat who represented the Royal Terengganu Endurance Stable. Wadhiat astride gelding Musical Golly Allegro finished with a total riding time of 15 hrs 6 min 44 sec at an average speed of 10.59km/hr.

Meantime in the CEI 3Star 120KM category, Zulkiefli Sari of the Royal Malaysian Police astride Ras Cadiz came in first with a total riding 7 hrs 4 min 13 sec at an average speed od 15.45km/hr.

Second place went to Dato Kamarudin Abdul Ghani of Bukit Kiara Equestrian Resort. Dato Kamarudin astride Indiana Rose completed with a total riding time of 8hrs 4min 40secs at an average speed of 14.84km/hr.

In the third place for the CEI 3 Star 120km category was Kamaruzaman astride Gambler Perkasa. Kamaruzaman finished with a total riding time of 11hrs 22mins 6secs at an average speed of 10.56km/hr.

In the 80km ride, first place went to Che Abdul Aziz Che Abdullah of the TMKN Endurance Team. Astride gelding Aigoual Sethi, he completed with a total riding time of 4hrs 51mins 36secs at the average speed of 16.46km/hr. In the second place was another TKMN Endurance Team rider Abd Hamid Husain astride Colorado. He completed with a total riding time of 5hrs 4mins 16secs at an average speed of 15.78km/hr. And the following closely in the third place was Mohd Zamri Ibrahim also of TKMN Endurance Team. Zamri rode mare Lucky De L'Aigoual and finished with a riding time of 5hrs 18mins 31secs at an average speed of 15.09km/hr.

The Edaran Endurance Classic 2007 registered a total of 91 riders including His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin who participated in the CEI 3Star 160km ride.

A total of 24 riders completed the ride.

The Organisers of the Edaran Endurance Classic 2007 decided to hold the Event outside of its traditional base in ar-Raudhah, Kuang, Selangor in support of the World Endurance Championship 2008. The ride provided riders, both international and local, the opportunity to obtain their "certificate of capability" through the 160km ride as well as the opportunity to train and familiarize themselves with riding conditions in Terengganu. Foreign riders included those from Belgium and Australia.

Information-Packed Seminar On Endurance Riding
A day prior to the official launch of the event, participants attended a half day seminar on endurance riding. Speakers included Australian endurance team captain Mr Peter Toft and renowned endurance veterinarian Dr Brian Sheahan. The information-packed sessions included valuable tips and advice on preparation for an endurance competition, horse lameness management and "tie-ups" in endurance horses.

The event which was launched on Saturday, 28 July at the Terengganu International Endurance Park by Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Sri Panglima Raja. The launch was graced by her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah. State dignitaries who attended the launch included the Right Honourable Chief Minister of Terengganu, YAB Dato Seri Haji Idris bin Jusoh who flagged off the 80km Ride.

Grand Closing Dinner and Prize Presentation Ceremony
The Event closed with a grand prize Presentation Dinner at the Heritage Bay Club at Pulau Duyong in Kuala Terengganu on Sunday 29 July.

The Dinner was graced by His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong.
